My cards are such that some of them (ones that are Katakana loanwords or that have the (uk) usually in kana tag) have no Entry, just a reading and translation.  When I cut a group of cards from one lesson and paste them into another, something I do quite often as I move things from new lessons to my review pile, occasionally the Entry column will be swallowed up, and then all of the other columns will move to the left.  So, the Entry on ALL cards that I paste will be discarded.  The Reading will move to the Entry column.  The Translation will move to the Reading column.  And, a seemingly random number, usually between 1 and 10, will show up in the fourth column.

As a temporary fix I am inserting a '-' as a placeholder in the Entry column for all cards that lack it.  However it seems like this is a bug that can be fixed.

In order to re-create the bug, make some cards with all attributes, and some that lack the first column.  Then copy and paste some cards between several lessons.  Hopefully you will be able to see what I'm talking about.

Thanks!

Abi

For what it's worth...  I experienced this in the 2006 (dictionary) version, exactly as described.  Replacing all the empty entries with a space fixed it.  Thereafter cut & paste worked fine.

This was easy to fix, thank you for reporting. It will be fixed in the next release.

Ah, I was just about to report that! It looks like it's copying data, rather than copying cards. I had a single card that had no kanji, and when I cut and pasted the stack, the hiragana moved to the kanji column, the english moved to the hiragana column, and the next card's kanji moved to the english column. All subsequent cards were then wrong.

I hope that makes sense!

This should be fixed in the latest release (beta 3).

Is it still ocurring in beta 3, or are you using an older version?
