Do only I have that cool 'version' or is this intentional until final?
I used the same settings as on 2k6 and yes I have clicked OK and no i cannot access the dictionary anywhere.
...what is the cause of this?

Chris

Hmmm... strange.

What version do you have? 07 RC6 is the latest.

What OS are you using?
What happens if you add another dictionary file?
In another language?
If you switch to the other language (in the toolbar on top)?
If you switch to another language and back to Japanese to force a refresh?

houkouhaikai

1)Upon encoutering this bug i updated to rc6.
2)ms vista x64
3)still grayed out
4)i only tried it with adding a jpn dict file in right format in another language (if necessary i can try with an actual file but since i'm on a slow connection and have to pay for traffic I did not do so now) -  it did not change a thing
5)gray
6)gray

And you might be interested in following: I just found (lol I have not gotten used to it yet) that the dictionary part of stackz at the bottom is actually there and lets me select a dictionary and stuff. But now i tried closing it...and I can't get it back :(

Chris

You can use the Window - Reset Panels function to get it back.

Need to think about possible reasons for this problem...

houkouhaikai

It really came back! Awesome.
So new things I can report: if i search something the Japanese is well ..unreadable..and that although I should be able to read it.

It's the same dictionary file I used for 2006, actually it even was created BY stackz 2006.
Stackz told me back then it can improve the performance of the dictionary by recreating it. And yes it's EUC. My computer supports Japanese, in the testing dialog is even works flawlessly. If there is any more information I can provide or anything else I could try to help you find the source just tell me.

Chris

It looks as your language setting is screwed up...

Please try the "Reset Languages" Button in the Stackz Options dialog. Important: Stackz RC6 is needed for this.

houkouhaikai

That solved the problem (although merely restarting stackz and stuff did not help at all)
