Hi.

Attempted to run PalmStackzSetup.exe on a Windows XP machine, but I'm getting a "I could not call InstAide.dll, make sure it is installed error."

InstAide.dll is on the system in C:\Program Files\Palm.

What is the solution to this issue?

Hi John,

As a workaround you can try to copy the InstAide.dll to the same folder where the PalmStackzSetup.exe file is.

Konstantin

Hi.  Tried installing with InstAide.dll in the same directory as PalmStackzSetup, but no luck.  Also tried installing on a different workstation with no luck.  I'm attempting to install to a Palm z22.

Hi John,

It must be something with your system configuration.

What version of the Palm Desktop do you have installed on your PC?
What Windows version are you using?

As a temporary solution I've prepared a zip file with all pdb and prc files needed for PalmStackz:
http://www.stackz.com/Stackz/palm/PalmStackzSetup.zip

The Fonts folder in this zip file contains some fonts that can be used with PalmStackz
SuperWaba_VM_68k folder contains the SuperWaba Virtual Machine for the 68k processor.
SuperWaba_VM_ARM folder contains the SuperWaba VM for the ARM processor.
PalmStackz contains the PalmStackz itself
In the Demo_Wordlists folder you can find some demo wordlists

Konstantin

Palm Desktop Application 4.2.0, Windows XP SP2, on both a notebook and desktop.

However, using Palm's Install Tool Application 6.0.1, I was able to install the files you provided in the zip.

Application appears to be working fine on my Palm Z22.

Thanks!

I'm having this same problem with an XP machine with a Tungsten C. Can you re-activate that link?
