Title: Recognising fonts
Post by: Bazza on November 30, 2007, 02:15:24 PM
Hi there. I've just switch to XP from Windows 2000. I've reinstalled Stackz (Version 07 RC6), but I can't get it to recognise my fonts.

If I go to Options/Stackz Options, and click the big Select button next to the fonts, I get an error dialog saying:

There are no fonts installed.
Open the Fonts folder from the control panel to install fonts.

I've already done that, and there are plenty of fonts there, including Code2000 which I used to use with Stackz.

Any ideas??

please try hitting the 'reset languages' button to reset your font setup... does this help?

This is probably off-topic, but I remember that older versions of Stackz! did not recognize fonts with Japanese names. I'm not talking about the filename, but the font name, which is embedded.

So I had to download a font-editing program to change the names of my favorite fonts to English names.

I'm glad to see that this limitation has been corrected in the latest version.
