Title: Some bugs that I've found
Post by: Watus on June 28, 2007, 01:27:58 AM
Here you are some strange things I have noticed using the 5a beta:

1) The tone numbers often change of place when I switch to edit view in Test Mode. For example, the chinese word ge1ge changes to gege1 (adding the tone to the incorrect phoneme). This is quite annoying since it occurs not only with chinese characters but with ALL tone marks, even those displayed in french words.

2) In Test Mode, sometimes it happens that when I push the "declare as known" button, the program slowdowns shortly and redisplays the same entry as if they where two identical entries one after another. Therefore, the stats don't uprgrade and new entries are not displayed untill I check the "wicked" entry two times! I assume that this can be a problem of my system since it's so evident and recurrent.

3) Activating the Examine Expired Cards option from the Retention Manager, then swithing to RefreshDate Colour Mode from "Stackz!" menu in the Stackz window, and then again pushing the Examine Expired Cards button, causes the entries in the Stacks window resting in RefreshDate colour scheme while the bar in top of the window changes to RepeatAdvisor. In the Stackz! menu RepeatAdvisor appears to be activated.

4) I think that this has been reported, and it's not properly a bug, but I include it here: the butttons and icons in Obsidian GUI Theme appear with an ugly and pixelated white outline. It would be cool if this can be solvable.

PD: 5) Another thing that annoys me is that the Test window flicks or winkles each time I press a button. It's not a big flaw, but it's a bit unesthetic.

1) will be fixed in the next release.

2), 3) and 5) are new to me, this has never happened on my Vista and XP sp2 systems.

4) is known but low priority.
