I removed all versions of Stackz 7 and downloaded beta 3 of the dictionary version. I still get the same error as before each time I try to start it. I have tried to used the shift key with no change. The only difference with beta 3 and beta 1 is that it takes a lot longer (15 seconds) for the error to pop up. I don't know if this means it is getting farther in the boot up process or if it is insignificant.
Help.

Please note that there were two different problems at start up, the crash that could be avoided with the shfit key, and the "terminate in an unusual way" problem.
The shift-avoidable problem is gone, the other one still persists at the moment, it occurs only on certain machines so it's much more difficult to solve but I'm working with Abi to get it fixed.
Hi Chris,
I haven't been able to start Stackz 7 Beta 4 for the last several days because it would crash. My Vista laptop would bring up a message saying that Stackz has crashed then would terminate the application. Your shift key solution worked for me tonight. I immediately shut Stackz down and re-opened it without using the shift key and it still works!
The last thing I did before it had the problem was change the size of the docked panels - kanji info, dictionary and kanji selection. I can't think of anything else I did though it is entirely possible I did other stuff too :-).
