Title: Stackz and Windows Vista
Post by: martin on January 21, 2007, 06:21:37 AM
I'm thinking of getting Windows Vista, but I don't want to risk not being able to use Stackz anymore.
Has anyone tried Stackz with Vista, and with what result?

Tested on Vista RC2, my old folder did not work, but this was (most likely) due to write protection issues. When I copy and pasted the folder to the new program files folder (which had a new name for my foreign language computer) it worked flawlessly.
So in worst case scenario you have to reinstall, however it DOES work.

Thanks for this info 8)

In fact I had installed a RC version some weeks ago using virtual PC, but the resulting OS was so slow that I could not call this a working installation and so I postponed any further tests. Good to hear that it ran on your installation!
