Stackz 07 Beta Test started!

I have released the first beta version of Stackz 07.

Please download it from >>this<< page.

There will be no more fundamental changes, this is the final content of Stackz 07. Since there were considerable changes, some features may not work as expected anymore... please test this version therefore as much as you can!

Hi Chris,
I tried Stackz 07 out last night, and I think it's looking great. A couple of things I noticed: the [## cards left] text on the test window does not update when you move onto the next card; and when you insert a new lesson the window that shows all your stacks starts smooth scrolling downwards until it reaches the last lesson, then smooth scrolls up again.

Stackz 07 beta 2 is available for download.

Changes:

• Kanji Info inconsistency fixed (thanks, brett!)
• "Sorted Stacks" flag persistent, and consistent in options dialog (thanks, querido!)
• GUI layout persistency in standard edition corrected (thanks again, querido!)
• Failure to paste corrected (thanks - third time, querido!)
• Stackz IME kana entry display corrected
• Dictionary Analyze function corrected for Katakana
• ListImportWizard handles empty lines now
• ctrl+click re-selects stack
• Disallow closing documents while testing
• Append '.szm' extension on file "Save As..."
• Edit control texts are no longer disappearing (UI library fix received)
• "Untested on top" option OK now
• Unnecessary scrolling removed (move lesson up/down, insert lesson, etc)

A big thank you for all who take the time to test, and special thanks to all of you who even reported a bug!

Stackz 07 beta 3 is available.

Changes:

• Startup crash fixed. This hopefully also solves the problem "terminate in an unusual way". (Thanks brett and Abi for reporting!)
• Copy/paste with empty attributes fixed (thank you brett for reporting!)
• New page for Skills in the file options dialog for better understanding of the Skills concept

Stackz beta 5 is available.

• Update ColorBand and slider thumbs on entry classification if needed during test/learn/match
• Arrow buttons drawing changed
• Match dialog list size is persistent now
• Document loaded at startup position
• Disallow closing Stackz if edit dialog is open
• Ctrl button behavior in learn/test/match
• simplified chinese pinyin display in dictionary

Important update:

Stackz 07 beta 5 introduced a bug with one of the features, please use the latest release Stackz 07 beta 5a.

• Fixed: Stackz 07 beta 5 crashes on startup if the last open file is no longer accessible. This is a bug introduced with the positioning of the document.
• Fixed: Expanded RetentionManager may crash the application if it is re-opened.
