Language Setting on Import
« on: May 22, 2006, 02:08:53 PM »
Spent the last 15 minutes figuring out why Stackz (Trial Version) just displayed question marks instead of japanese characters. I was trying to import a UTF-8 file, with the "UTF-8 file type" selected.

Then I realized I had to select "Options -> Japanese", it defaults to English. I almost abandoned this nice program. It would be nice to put a (one-time) reminder on the Import Dialogue, that you'll probalby want to switch the language setting when you attempt to import a UTF-8 file (which somehow implies that you are going to use a non-western script).

But then again, I didn't read the Tutorials from start to end, so please bear with me.

The unicode controls in Stackz 07 will handle this issue automatically!
