PocketStackz VGA support
« on: January 29, 2006, 10:56:14 PM »
There is a first version that supports the native VGA mode.

The direct link is:

Any feedback is welcome!

Thanks,
Konstantin

I am very interested in using this but, as I stated earlier, on the e800 in native VGA mode, Stackz works perfectly.  It seriously looks beautiful in that mode. (Wish I could upload an image to the board so others could see what I'm talking about.)

My worry is that the new version will stop working correctly on my machine.

There are a few apps designed for RealVGA that refuse to run on the e800's WM2003 VGA screen.

Let you know how it works out.

Well it still runs fine on the Toshiba e800 (wm2003).

There is no noticeable improvement aside from the summary graph which doesn't have the old 3/4 random pattern fill on the bars (i.e. the bars are now one nice color/pattern).

There is some spacing problem on the TEST, LEARN, VIEW buttons.  All the text is shifted to the right and slightly off the edges of the buttons. (CLOSE is centered.)

The icons in the bottom bar have the bottom 1/4 of their images cut off.  I suspect that this is going to happen on wm2003 VGA machines (the e800) only.  That's because its trying to put a VGA icon into a QVGA space.  But this doesn't really affect functionality.

I've got a couple of screenshots I could send along if you're interested.

Thanks for the chance to use the beta.

Thank you for the feedback!
A couple of screenshots would be useful.
You can send the screenshots to me at mobile@stackz.com

By the way...
As far as I know, it is possible to upgrade your Toshiba e800
to the Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition.
Have you tried it? If not, it can be an option for you.

Thanks again,
Konstantin
